Just saw some photo's from the party that Vic uploaded (there on Flickr), there was one photo of Howard.
I think you said that you saw Howard and we just missed him be about 5 minutes.
Wow, some of the people have really changed and others look the same, I won't mention any names here.
Yes, lets keep in touch and possible get together again soon.
Sea Ranch sounds like a good trip.

I've seen the pictures, and they did a better job of identifying them this year. There were a lot of people that I didn't know, but also some that I did. I also wondered about the picture of Howard. Someone posted here that he wasn't going, but there he was. Was he trying to avoid you? I'm glad you guys had a good time, and also hope we can get together.

Bill, I'm sorry you traveled all that distance only to miss Howard by five minutes. When we get together for a road trip to Steve's place, we might have to kidnap Howard. Let me know when the rest of the pictures are posted. Chuck Nicolai looked good. Does he still live in the area? Did he mention anything about his brother John? They used to live next door to Jim Greenwald. I wouldn't have recognized Ernie Chiella. We played baseball together in Babe Ruth League.

Hey Guys- It shook pretty good here in Irvine. The quake was centered about 20 miles as the crow flies from us. My son and daughter live in Fullerton and they had a mirror come down and crash to bits. Oh well, that's California. Sorry I missed the gathering. Al- I'll call, I think I can make It Sat.

Many of us in Idaho believe that earthquakes are retribution for the evil, decadent Southern California lifestyle. Please change your ways before it is too late.

Don't worry Willie. When the decadent slice of Kalifornia that has all the big cities falls into the sea there will be clean, fresh beachfront property at a reasonable price.

  5.
Al - I sent Trompeter an e-mail telling him about your BBQ. He has to go to the library to use a PC so he doesn't get on this list too often. I don't have a phone number for him or else I'd call him. With any luck he'll get the e-mail before Saturday.

As a part of moving I called Direct TV today to get them to send a couple of boxes to Fed Ex their modems back to them. Under what rock they find these morons I don't know. After telling the first girl I wanted to shut it off and send the equipment back she asked what 'improved' services I wanted. When I refused to give her my new address things got ugly. In discussing what part of soon, in as soon as possible, applied the second girl asked me where I'd be in a week. I said I estimated I'd be driving across Texas but that Texas wasn't my destination. She then asked me if I wanted her to send the return boxes to Texas so I could pick them up as I drove by....

hello to all. Jim Huckstep glad you had a good time at the BBQ. We ended up with about 100 people. From WHS we had J.H., Mike Stone, and John Darocco. Like Jim said we had food galore not to mention the booze. For your 2009 planning the BBQ will be the last Saturday of July. Please plan ahead and try to make it. I will send reminders next year. I guarantee we will all have a good time. Willie the one thing we missed at the BBQ was E.T,s egg rolls. Thats a hint for next year.

Hey Willy, if i see your twin brother Manny i'm going to shave his fuckin head! maybe then he could run faster than Mel Siverts! I saw him trying to field a ball out in left field the other day+he looked like a little leaguer! He will knock in a lot of runs but cost them as many by not running out ground balls etc.+in the outfield! I would also like to know where the world series will start? Is it in St.Louis or Anaheim?

    Stephen-

Send some of that "fine" wine. Have you heard from Jim after you mentioned to me that you talked to him and he was a bit down, but you and Howard were going to try and get him out of the house? I am finishing up the last concrete steps and block walls for the season this week and am headin' out fishing.
  12.
    Howdy all,
Jim was to meet us in Westchester on the 26th. I tried calling him several times before to meet at Al's, although I did not hear anything back.
I have sent him several e-mails and not heard anything back. Hope he is alright. maybe someone should visti him.
I had a great time seeing Bill, Ronnie, Howard and Al. i recognized a lot of names, but only remember Bruce Pelnick Darocoo, Conni and a few others. their band "Chamber's brothers was one of the best that I have ever heard.
The wine is at the house in Sea Ranch and it is good. You'll all have to come and try it sometime soon. end of September-October would be good.

Well, since you asked, I think you were trying to say "with" instead of "wiyh". We forgive you and won't make you stay after school. We realize these things are tough for a man of your age.

The Olympics are fantastic. I must be getting old because I even enjoyed the opening ceremony. I have seen some of the events twice. We can watch them live on Thai satellite TV, and then later tape delayed on NBC. I have been doing some swimming at the gym, but for some reason I'm not a threat to Mr. Phelps.

How many windshields have you had broken by rocks out on the road? Years ago I had one get one of those crazed stars from a rock in Arizona. The break never progressed beyond the initial 'star'. This last week I had two windshields broken in three days. First the star and then in a couple hours a growing crack wanders across the glass.

Pat, welcome back. My brother and I both have small stars on our windshields. It's quite common here. In LA, I got one kicked up by a gravel truck.

About 5 or 6 years ago I was playing Golf at our local Golf course. I was on hole 14 which the fairway parallels a local residential street. I hit an errant Tee shot that went to the right and I just missed a Sheriff's car. I reloaded and hit another drive and got him right in the front windshield. To say the least, he was pissed, he got out of his Sheriffs's car and looked like he was going to hand cuff me and arrest me. He said it sounded like someone fired a shot at him. Some of the guys I played with that day never seem to forget great Golf shots like this.

Hey Bill, great post. I love stories like that. I hope that sheriff doesn't pull you over after you have had a few drinks. He will remember you, and put you in the tank for a month. I was once golfing with Jim Oskins at Alondra Park. His drive hit former football player Jim Brown who was sitting in a cart on an adjoining fairway.

My Sister was on way to Safeway kids driving other way 1 in back seat fired pellet pistol at sister's car, she was just missed and it also cracked rear window. Police finally caught some kids shooting out window glass in retail commercial area, they were using a pistol. Perhaps same kids but never found out. That was the 5th windhield replaced on the vehicle! All others were gravel kickups from roads.
  14.
The state is putting a railroad track in the median of I-25 so the train can run between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. There will be a station right at the airport in Albuquerque which will be convenient. Anyway, there's a lot of gravel involved in laying the tracks. I suspect that is the source of the rock that got the second windshield. Think I'll stay back an extra distance from other cars & trucks until they finish the tracks.

did you guys hear about the guy who picked up a stone and told his friend it was a sex stone.. His pal said what the hell is a sex stone? His buddy said a sex stone is just a fucking rock.. Now for a true storey. They hat the national lifeguard championships last week at Manhattan Beach. The LA County Guards won it all for the 22nd year in a row. Their were teams from FL, NJ, The Carolinas, NY, MA, TX, and a team from Victoria, Australia. My son Tom has been a county lifeguard for 22yrs competed in the senior division, 40 yrs old on up. He won the ironman, which was a run, swim, paddleboard, and surfski...In the individual events he took 1st in paddleboard, 3rd in swimmimg, and 4th in the dory boat race. In the boat race another boat comming into shore collided with Toms boat which cost him 2nd place as 2 boats passed him as he was trying to right the ship so to speak...sorry for being long winded..

"They hat the national lifeguard championships last week at Manhattan Beach".

    Hey all,
yes, Al, that time in November 22nd to the 25th will be reserved for you. That sounds like really a good time, for it is beautiful up there at that time.
Your son sure has a good life, guarding all down there. Makes you shine good time.
Don't follow trucks or play golf with sherrif's Nipps nearby.
The Olympics have been fantastic to watch. Evern with the Chinese so called simulations of enhancement. We need to understand what they are doing, that is for sure. All of our childrens jobs are going over there except for what we need here like life guarding. good profession to be in.
Gymnastics is now a perfect sport, amazing. Volleyball is fun to watch. I keep missing the basketball.
    Pat is back.
I forgot my camera, although someone sent me this one attached to Browse. (I have been censored again by forces unknown.) OPPS I HAD THE WRONG FORMAT SO I'LL TRY AGAIN LATER) (someone is edinting these before I send) I had fun and reconnected with some real good people, hopefully for a long time. lets get together.
